THE WOMEN'S HEALTHY HEART INITIATIVE

A little about us

Established in May 2009 within the premises of the McGill University Health Center, the Women's Heart Health Initiative (WHHI) is dedicated to raising awareness, preventing, and treating heart disease—a leading cause of mortality in women.

Distinguished as the inaugural nurse-led heart disease prevention clinic in Canada, WHHI centers its approach on promoting a healthy lifestyle to mitigate the risk of heart disease. This pioneering model of care showcases collaborative efforts between nurses and physicians, ensuring the delivery of personalized care tailored to the unique needs of women.
